Preservation Detroit Tour of Eastern Market

Saturdays May through September at 10:00 AM, tours depart from the Welcome Center, located between Sheds Two and Three at 1445 Adelaide.

Experience the sights, sounds and smells of America’s oldest and largest outdoor farmers market. From woodlands to cemeteries, railroads, prisons, breweries, rum-running, and crime, find out what makes Eastern Market so fascinating and learn about the exciting plans for its future.

Tour Pricing 

$12 Preservation Detroit Members, seniors and students: advance purchase online only
$15 Non-Members: advance purchase and day of (cash only, please)

Advance ticket purchases are available through the afternoon the Friday before the tour. All tours take place rain or shine. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the tour.  

Group pricing available for Saturday 10am Tours: If you have a group of 15-20 people and want to take one of our tours on Saturday morning at 10am, price will be $12 per person, but a reservation must be made 2 weeks in advance. We also offer private tours! Please contact Jen Ruud at jruud@preservationdetroit.org for more info and to make your reservation!

Parking: in Eastern Market can take a little while to locate, so give yourself some extra time! There is a free parking structure off Riopelle between Alfred and Division.
